Daniel Boone Park is operated by the City of Charleston West Virginia Parks and Recreation Department.

Daniel Boone Park is located in Eastern limits of Charleston WV on US Route 60 along the bank of the Kanawha River.

A roadside marker and stone monument mark the entrance to Daniel Boone Park, telling of Daniel Boone and his life, times and accomplishments in the Kanawha Valley.

Namesake for the park Daniel Boone lived in the Kanawha Valley in the late 1700’s, was a member of the Virginia assembly.

His cabin was across the river a short distance east of Charleston.

Near the Daniel Boone marker is the historic Daniel Boone Cave.
