Operated by the City of Charleston West Virginia Parks and Recreation Department. Named for Charleston Businessman “Fred Haddad”, Haddad Riverfront Park is located in Downtown Charleston WV on Kanawha Boulevard or US Route 60 along the bank of the Kanawha River, bordered on the East by the stylish “Union Building” reaching 14 stories above Haddad Riverfront Park
Located within easy walking distance to transportation and anywhere “Downtown” or “Town Center Mall”, in years past this area was known simply as “The Levee” then home to the now famous “Stern Wheel Regatta” with attendance for some shows in excess of 200,000 people. Now the concerts and events for this venue are sized differently as the Haddad Riverfront Park is home to Charleston’s “Festivalall” and “Live on the Levee” concert series.
The Levee once a hub for commerce and oddly enough a 1940’s era Seaplane Training Base now relegated to the entertainment of locals and visitors alike.
This multi use facility in Central Kanawha County WV provides a wide variety of amenities that include;
- Picnic Area
- Band Shell
