Meadowood Park located in the Western Kanawha County West Virginia, a mid sized multi use County park along the banks of the “Coal River” in rural Tornado. The 600 acres facility features “Pettigrew Lake”, offering a handicapped accessible fishing pier, in addition to Pettigrew Lake their are two public access boat launch sites on the Coal River. Recreational sports are a focus at Meadowood Park with two Soccer Fields and a Volleyball Court.
Operated and maintained by the Kanawha Parks and Recreation Department.
A perfect recreational area for locals and visitors alike. The park features the “Upper Falls” of the Coal River providing a great viewing and fishing opportunity.
Meadowood Park is home to the Upper Falls Walking Trail, one of a series of autonomous trails in the Walhonde Walking Trail system InKanawha County WV.
